Connie Chang
Connie grew up nomadically, splitting her childhood between New Jersey, Michigan, and Japan, which explains her abiding love for karaoke, Bon Jovi, and rectangular pizza. She holds a B.A. in English, German, and Psychology, as well as a J.D. from the University of Michigan. By day, Connie works as an attorney at the National Geographic Society. By night, she co-writes speculative fiction with J.M., pausing only to decorate cakes and dote on their neurotic hound Archie, goofy orange cat Tails, and mischievous toddler.
J.M. Blakemore
J.M.’s favorite holiday is Halloween. He holds an M.A. in British and American Literature and a B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of Utah. He earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he later taught as an adjunct professor. When he’s not writing or reading under a pile of pets, you’ll find him in the garden, muttering about the squirrels and hand-feeding the child sun-ripened tomatoes.
Connie and J.M. write because they love dreaming up new worlds—and because their cast of characters (fictional, toddler-shaped, and furry) keeps life interesting.
